Changes in Schedules of Trains on Aegviidu, Tartu, and Narva Routes from June 5
The railway repairs to start next Friday, June 5, will add a couple of minutes to the journey times of trips to Narva. We will restore normal schedules on the Aegviidu line from June 8, and add weekend departures on the Tartu route.
“Estonian Railway is starting repairs on the Sonda-Kohtla railway section, so there will be additional speed limits that will add 7 minutes to the journey times of trips to Narva,” said Ronnie Kongo, Elron’s Sales and Development Manager. “The times of departures from and arrivals in Tallinn will not change.”
There will also be changes in the schedules of the Aegviidu and Tartu routes.
“We have good news for those who use the Aegviidu line – as the number of passengers is gradually growing, we will add some weekend departures for June 6 to 7, and from Monday, June 8, we will restore the normal schedules on that line,” Ronnie Kongo, Elron’s Sales and Development Manager, pointed out.
“We will add Friday and Sunday trains between Tallinn and Tartu – as the repairs are still in progress and hindering normal rail traffic, we will tighten the schedule only on the days with the highest demand. Also, you can travel the entire distance by train on Friday and Sunday, there will be no need to use replacement buses. Once the repairs are complete, we plan to add even more departures between Tartu and Tallinn to offer our customers the best travel opportunities possible.”
The schedules will be soon available on Elron’s website at www.elron.ee and shortly on the platforms, too; free train information is also given on the 24/7 information number 616 0245.
